How do you speak up about a topic that is seen as “taboo”?
My former client and advocate for bisexual people of color, Hasina Juma, models this powerfully. In this episode, you’ll gain insights on the impact that marginalization has on those affected by it, and you’ll hear an incredible story that portrays what it actually takes to speak up against a “taboo” topic while becoming a recognized expert and thought leader.
Hasina is an advocate who is boldly raising awareness about bisexual people of colour, a group that is invisible in the Canadian communities of colour especially the South Asian and Muslim communities as well as marginalized within the LGBTQ2 community and society.
Hasina’s advocacy work has been featured in countless newspapers, magazines, and podcasts which have a global reach. Through her digital platform, she uses her own lived experience to provide resources, tools, and support for bisexual people of color and their families.
This is the final conversation in my special 10-episode client feature where I’m featuring incredible clients who inspire me.
